Complete Assessment
- Occupational therapy assessment
- Speech and language therapy assessment
- Joint assessment with an Occupational therapist and Speech and language therapist.
If you have been through an assessment or are familiar with the process then you can choose the appropriate assessment your child requires i.e. OT or SLT or joint.
If not, parents are requested to complete an in-depth questionnaire detailing their child's history and current information. The team then decides the expertise of professionals needed to
complete a comprehensive assessment. Parents may also be required to fill in additional questionnaires.
The parents/caregiver and child are invited for an assessment based in the clinic. An assessment session is usually a combined approach of formal and informal testing
lasting 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on the needs of the child, family etc. Feedback is usually provided at the end of the session. A comprehensive written report detailing the
child's development , standardised test scores, strengths and weaknesses and further course of action is provided within 12 working days of the assessment. A school or nursery visit
maybe recommended if it can offer insight regarding the child's ability in different environments.
